Dear Future Employer,

I am writing to apply for the position offered, an opportunity at your glorious company. With a deep passion for technology and a strong desire to gain practical experience in the field, I am confident that my long time technical skills and dedication to continuous learning make me an ideal candidate for this position.

I have been creating and managing websites since 2012, I am mostly self taught, I can create manage, fix, administrate any kind of website there is using WordPress, PHP, cPanel, MySQL, GoDaddy. I can make a social network, video streaming, dating website, classified ads listing site, at all times mobile capable without having to create an app, but I can do that too if needed.

I also have a few small apps that I made myself, they have not quite made it to the Google Play Store, but still in full working order and I can share those with you via links at the end of this letter.

In my self taught journey, I have learned a whole lot about debugging websites through trial and error. I know what works, and what does not work, and most of the time why it does not work. I can fix just about any front or back end issues with plugins, themes you name it. I have also worked with other CMS applications, like Drupal, Joomla, Magento, but always ended up back with WordPress.

As a recent graduate of Bellevue College (Fall 2023) with an Associates degree in Business Technology & Analysis, I have gained a solid foundation in various areas of technology including web development using PHP, network administration, and data analysis. Through coursework and hands-on projects, I have honed my skills in programming languages such as Javascript, CSS3, HTML, PHP and SQL. Additionally, I have developed a strong understanding of networking protocols, cybersecurity practices, and big data analytics with training in Tableau, Power BI, and quite a few years of Excel experience.

I took a class in Photoshop in 2016. Now today I absolutely can’t get enough of Photoshop during my free time! Making strange icons is kind of a hobby I like. I also have extensive experience with logo template design, apparel design, using photoshop and creating book covers. I have experience and am comfortable using Adobe After Effects and creating PDF forms of all kinds. I can create a green screen animation easily. Most of my life all of these skills have been kind of a hobby I love to do. I think its time I try to get paid for once in my life doing what I love.

During my academic journey, I actively participated in technology and data analysis groups in each of my classes,My experience includes previous self taught and working on a team project where we developed web pages and debugged JavaScript. These projects not only enhanced my technical expertise but also fostered teamwork, problem-solving, and project management abilities.

Furthermore, I have completed several websites (including this one) that display my capabilities, I gained hands-on experience in technology support by being the only administrator to these sites over many years. This enabled me to collaborate with my site members, learn from my audience, and solve real-world technology challenges. One site I created in  particular had over 2000 members that were active some years ago. I can also show you this site as well.

Nonetheless these opportunities allowed me to apply my theoretical knowledge in practical settings, troubleshoot defects and hardware issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions.

I am impressed by the innovative projects and reputation of your company, and I firmly believe that the technology field experience at your esteemed organization would provide me with invaluable exposure to cutting-edge technologies, industry best practices, and an opportunity to contribute to impactful projects.

I am a quick learner, adaptable to new environments, and possess excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. I am confident that my strong technical knowledge, coupled with my enthusiasm for embracing new technologies, would make me a valuable asset to your team.

Moreover, my attention to detail, effective communication abilities, and commitment to delivering high-quality work enable me to thrive in fast-paced environments.

I have attached my resume for your review, which provides additional details on my educational background, technical skills, and professional experiences. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my qualifications align with your organization’s technology field experience further.

Thank you for considering my application. I am eager to contribute my skills and passion to your company and would be grateful for the chance to discuss this opportunity further.

One thing my website members taught me that I will never forget is to stop changing the footers. It sounds petty they were seriously lost without my normal footers, when they returned to my site they did not know how to get back in, and this made them very upset. I realized in order to retain a few just keep it simple and if I do change anything I add plenty of redirection so nobody is lost.

Yours sincerely,

M. Zayas
